My surname is Do because I like to do things.
I currently attend UNC Chapel Hill in pursuit of a MS in Computer Science. I previously earned a BS in Computer Science, a BS in Information Science and a minor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics during undergrad. I strongly believe that technological advancement brings us closer together than it tears us apart. My studies explore the interactions between technology and the humanities, and I hope to use my knowledge to make the world a better place. Previously, I have worked at Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems campus as a Software Engineering Intern and have held a number of teaching and learning positions. Nice to meet ya!
I was born in Raleigh NC, where I earned an International Baccalaureate diploma from Needham Broughton High School and became an Eagle Scout. I have studied Spanish since middle school and have studied abroad at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. In the future, I hope to work as a software engineer or maybe earn a PhD. Not a creative dream goal, but that doesn't mean I'm not a creative person.
I'm better with computers than your average bear. Bears don't know anything about computers. I have experience with front-end and back-end development, databases, programming education, and IT support.
Whether in the classroom or out, I am fascinated by people, places, and things. Between extracurriculars and side projects, I see life as an opportunity to learn as much as you can about yourself, the world, and others.
The world ends with you, and is whatever you make it. I am absolutely committed to reaching my goals and believe that anything is achievable through hard work and persistence.
